The Shabby Tea Room Challenge Week #54

Happy Memorial Day! I made a quick card for this week's Shabby Tea Room challenge #54, 2 patterned papers, 4 buttons and 6 layers, along with an inspiration photo.
Here is my card:

I used one gingham fabric button and three little white buttons, that I colored black with Copics. The paper is from the Girls Paperie and I used OLD Daisy D's rubon tape around the edges, love this stuff!

Here is the inspiration photo:

I drew my inspiration from the doilies and the pink and blue. I punched a doily from my PTI die and the cake ticket is from MadeByJanet on Etsy. You should check out her shop, it's gorgeous!

Thanks for stopping by today! Gotta run, I'm off to the beach!

Friends With Flair

I broke out some of my older Unity Kits of the Month (November 2009 and September 2009)  for today's card as well as a brand new one from the Uniquely Unity Archivers kit. I love the flower, I made with Crepe Paper sheets that I picked up at the Scrapbook Expo from the Mon Amie booth and die cut with my Big Shot to make the different size flower layers. I sewed the layers together and topped it off with a little Recollections bling.

You can see the full list of Friends with Flair on the Unity blog and don't forget to check out the NEW IPPITY RELEASES on Pre-Order now releasing June 5th!

Here's a peek at one of them, visit my Ippity Blog to see the rest and get your pre-orders in!

Guest Blogger

Come by and see me today over at Creative Grace! Jill's blog has been taken over by a series of guest bloggers while she is busy getting down to the wire with graduation and her thesis. Join me in wishing her a big congratulations on all of her hard work!

WOYWW

I decided to snap a picture this morning again and join in on What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?! It does look a little different than yesterday's What's On Tap Tuesday mess and my finished card is laying there too! I used my Cricut again, so excited about that. The poor thing hasn't been touched in close to a year, but now that I (sort of) have a spot for it and it stays plugged in, that baby is going to see some miles!
On the lower right under the Basic Grey pad is a SUPER SECRET project I am working on. I have a secret that I am getting ready to tell on June 1st :) So stay tuned.....

Have a great day! And be sure to check out the NEW IPPITY RELEASES, they are on Pre-Order NOW! Releasing June 5th!

Welcome Little One

I had some free time after work today, and I have been wanting to play along in the Shabby Tea Room Challenge, I just love browsing that blog, so much shabby goodness :) This week's challenge is "Sweet Baby" and below is the inspiration photo. We are asked to make a baby themed project, not necessarily using the colors in the photo.

Here is the card I came up with using some of the new goodies I got at the Scrapbook Expo last week as well as my Ippity Moonbeams & Heartstrings set.

Paper~Melissa Frances 5th Avenue
Ink~Unity Hybrid, Ranger Distress Ink Antique Linen

Mojo Monday, What's On Tap Tuesday?! and Unity Tooty Fruity Challenge!

Hi! I'm back again for this week's installment of What's On Tap Tuesday?! Since it is 12:18 am, it is officially Tuesday and I just finished my card for the Unity Tooty Fruity Challenge using this week's Mojo Monday #192 sketch.

Here is my card:

Here is what my desk looks like:

And Noelle asked to see a full view of my new table. It's nothing fancy, but I love it. It's the perfect size for this little corner and the legs are adjustable.

And if you haven't done so already, check out my Ippity Blog for the new upcoming release on June 5th!

Friday Night Friends With Flair

I didn't have time today to post, I was RUNNING all day! Half a day of work, then jumped in the car and off to the Scrapbook Expo. I had the pleasure of sharing a quick meal and a short visit with Cindy before heading off for a marathon shopping trip. There was way TOO MUCH to see in the short time I was there!
I got home and settled in and just notice on the Unity blog that the Friends with Flair link is still open, so I thought I'd share this little coaster art I made for my design team post at Creative Cuts & More.

Have a great weekend! Oh, and before you go~you should REALLY check out my Ippity blog, the NEW RELEASES are showing on the right side bar and I am taking PRE-ORDERS! The new stamps are scheduled to begin shipping the first week in June!
Here's a peek for you, but to see the rest, you have to go here --------->>>>> Ippity!

If you're still with me, you should also pop over to Cindy's blog! She has an awesome card she is sharing for FWF, but the linky closed early before she could add her link. You don't want to miss her darling card!

Keep Calm and Carry On

I love this stamp by Rubber Soul! I scooped it up so fast when I saw it at the Ink Pad in New York! I love the CAS look of these note cards :) I made one for my cousin, she just found out she is losing her job so I thought the sentiment was perfect for her. Then I just couldn't stop making them!

See you tomorrow for Unity's Friends with Flair!

Happy Birthday Dominick and Lindsey!

My niece and nephew both turn 4 this month. They are best little buddies and they attend pre-school together. They are too cute and I love them to pieces! They had a joint bowling party this past weekend with all their little friends. Of course, me being last minute as usual, I made their birthday cards an hour before we had to leave for the party. So I kept it simple and made them sort of matching.

What's On Tap Tuesday?!

I missed last week, but I'm joining Cindy (aka the Crafty Frugalista) today for the 6th week of What's On Tap Tuesday? where we share our workspaces, finished projects, craftrooms, or whatever you happen to be working on! I think I got that right!

I dont' have a "finished" project to share, just a bunch of works in progress! My desk is pretty neat compared to usual since I got a new table for Mother's Day.
And YES, that is my Cricut in the upper left corner! I vow to keep it plugged in and in a (somewhat) cleared off space so I can use the bazillion cartridges me and my sister have accumulated! Along with some stars that I punched and covered in German Glitter Glass.

In the below photo, you can see my Uniquely Unity kit that I cut up and am ready to start assembling.

Down here are a small collection of trinket pins I started making again for my Etsy shop. I used to sell a lot of these at craft fairs (along with the decoupaged vintage music flowers) but since I don't have time for craft fairs these days, I thought I might load up my Etsy shop again.

As you can see here, I've outgrown my Ranger Distress Ink storage box! LOL! They are multiplying!
I just got the Wilson Designs stamp set and was playing with that a bit too! Finished project to follow soon :)

And of course, my little crafty companion! (and my other MESSY MESSY table in the upper right corner, still trying to clean up and organize there!)
Luke is decorating a little chicken bank with his Bic Mark-it collection! These are "his" markers that he is allowed to use in the loft ONLY! I passed them down to him recently since I have a large Copic collection now.

Thanks for stopping by for What's On Tap Tuesday! Why not join us and link up your space HERE!

Hambo Stamps

Good Monday Morning! I can try to be cheery, but I cannot lie~I do not love Mondays! Each weekend is like a lovely little vacation spent with my favorite people :) and then Monday morning comes and I am forced out of bed way too soon and forced to kiss my little boy goodbye and be deprived of his cuteness all day long (boohoo!) But, this is life!
I thought I would share two cards I made for the Hambo Stamps Design Team call. They provided these two super cute digital images to work with, and I had a lot of fun playing with them!
I really haven't been using my Copics much at all in the past year, but suddenly, I can't get enough of them again! I'm trying to get in practice for the Copic Certification class I am taking next month in Philly. I CAN'T WAIT! It's going to be such a fun day out with the girls!
Have a great week!

The 3 Quickest Cards I Ever Made

The past two weeks have just been a jumble of crazy busy-ness! Taking care of my Grammy after her fall has been consuming my evenings after work and although I don't mind one bit, everything else has piled up! Loads of laundry, Luke's school paperwork on the kitchen table, bills and mail, and of course~crafty projects! When I looked at my calendar and realized I HAD to get to the post office to send a notecard set to my cousin for her fundraiser before I missed it, I also realized I had only made 3 of the 6 notecards. Ooops! So the three cards below were whipped out in about 15 minutes and the mess on my desk still sits from 2 nights ago! UGH! Someone please stop the Merry-Go-Round, I want to get off for 5 minutes!

Unity National Scrapbook Day Recipe Challenge

I didn't have any crafty time this weekend~can you believe it?!?! National Scrapbooking Day and nada from me in the crafty department, too much else going on! But when I saw this challenge and the SWEET prize Unity is so generously offering, I had to whip something up!
The recipe was a no-brainer! I am not much of a cook, I am not bad at it, but I just don't really enjoy it, I would rather be playing with paper. But this Taco Soup recipe that I found on the Elle's Studio blog is SO simple and SO delicious! I love to make it with ground turkey and I alter it a bit (reducing the amount of beans, less for me to pick out since I don't like them! LOL!)
If you like tacos, you should definitely try it, it's easy and DELICIOUS! I think it makes a great winter, cold weather recipe, which is why I added the sentiment at the top :)
Thanks for looking!
