A Layout for Friends With Flair

Better late than never! We are away for the weekend and I almost forgot my blog post :) Hopping on here real quick to publish and link to Friends With Flair! Have you seen all the excitement on the Unity Blog and Website for their Virtual CHA happenings?!?!
This layout uses a stamp from Ippity's "the Best" and some Basic Grey Kissing Booth.

Have a great weekend!

Project Life Week 2

My pages for Project Life Week 2! I am going to add a few little journaling labels since there are so many photos. It was my niece's 10th birthday, so I wanted to include a lot of pictures from the celebration.
We also had a surprise to document :) I guess you can see what it is! My husband and I have been on a weight loss program together, so I put a little note inside the box of one of the products we've been using with the pregnancy test. He doesn't care how much I weigh, but I added that little line to the note about mommy getting fatter since we have been doing the program together.
I also included a photo of the positive pregnancy test and a frame I gave to my dad to tell him about the future arrival of his new grandchild :)
The two stamps on the pregnancy test photo are from my Unity Kits of the Month. I want to start incorporate more Unity stamps into my PL album, since there are so many that would go perfectly!

I'm almost done with Week 3, so far so good!

Project Life Week 1

I'm keeping it pretty simple with my Project Life pages, I think that's the best chance I have at keeping up! Here are my pages from Week 1, I started with New Year's Eve, although the rest of my weeks will start with Sunday rather than Saturday. Sorry for the glare, I haven't found a good place/way to photograph these with the page protectors

Friends with Flair!

It feels like it's been forever since I participated in Friends with Flair! I made this card using the sweet Phyllis Harris Brandy and Emma: Forever Friends. I love her work and am so glad she paired up with Unity to make these adorable stamps!
My coloring is done with Copics and the papers are from My Minds Eye. The flower is made using a Sizzix die, Spellbinders leaves and some felt from MFT.

Now hop on over to the Unity blog, to see the full list of today's Friends with Flair!
Happy Friday!

dream.Big.

I made this card the other day for the Unity Facebook Challenge using Unity's Dream Big Itty Bitty by Webster's Pages. My friend opened her own hair salon yesterday and this along with a bottle of red wine was her gift from me. So proud of her and wish her tons of success!!!!
Have you checked out the Unity Hip Hop yet today?! The oh-so-talented Design Team is sharing inspiring projects and some of them are also sharing their resolutions or crafty goals for this year.

I am doing Project Life this year and am going to try REALLY hard to keep up with it :) I also want to start scrapbooking more again rather than all cardmaking. It was my first love and I want to get back to it so my son can look back at his childhood and our family life when he grows up! I plan on incorporating my Unity stamps into my PL album as well as my regular scrapbook pages to make the most out of my stash!

In my personal life, I have a weight loss goal of 60 pounds total. I am already almost 1/3 of the way there. I started at the beginning of December and am down 16.5 pounds so far. Today was my first day at my new gym :) YAY! More on my weight loss here if you are interested!

I also want to "Simplify" in all aspects of my life. I'm still figuring out all I mean by that, but mostly I want to de-clutter and take the stress out of my everyday. I have realized recently that all of the "stuff" I have really just gets in the way of me enjoying my life and my family, so I am working on that! (of course I will not be getting rid of my crafty "stuff", just streamlining and working on better organizing solutions and maybe letting go of some really OLD stuff that I never use :)

What are your goals for the year?!

Have a great Thursday!

Unity Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge

Yay! I got my mojo back, I made three cards today! Wow, that's a lot for me these days, hopefully I will keep it up. It was dark by the time I finished so I wasn't able to get the greatest pictures, but I am going to share the first one anyway!

This is based on the Unity Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge for January. The sentiment is from the September 2011 kit, the birthday cake image is from the May KOM.

The fun patterned paper is by Basic Grey "Life of the Party". I also used Neenah Cream cardstock and some seam binding from my Etsy shop. Along with a variety of Copics.

See you soon!
