Not much to share today, I'm so behind for the holidays so I am trying to limit my crafting time! The more behind I get, the more I procrastinate! Imagine that! It's a vicious cycle ;) One of these years, I will NOT leave everything til the last minute, but, I guess it's just my nature! LOL!

H{ippity} Hop Noel Banner

I made a Noel banner this weekend, but unfortunately I cannot get a great picture of the whole thing since it was dark and dreary last night when I finished it. But here are the individual pieces.

The letters are Tim Holtz Grungeboard. I painted them with cream acrylic paint, stamped with Ippity's Music of my Heart Background stamp, then a little green paint on top, finished off with some lime green stickles.
The music note and red swirl paper is from My Mind's Eye and some pleated trim from Webster's Pages along with some green ball trim from my stash finish off the top.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Next stop on the hop is McCine or you can see the full list on the Ippity blog.

Just A Note

This was a mini card I made for Eryn's challenge IHHC50. I've shared it on SCS but not here on my blog yet. It was a crazy weekend in my house so I didn't have time to make anything new. Christmas party on Friday night, parade and spa party on Saturday, then my beautiful niece's christening on Sunday, all accompanied by a house full of company all weekend! Loved every minute of it!

Hope you had a great weekend too!

Just Because it's my last day....

of Growing In Unity.....I thought I'd share a card with you using the new Bella Blvd. set, Sunny Happy Skies!

When I look at this set, I really think more along the lines of bright fun colors, however, I thought I'd go for a different look with more natural muted tones. Okay, I have to admit, it was more about laziness, because these supplies were with me in my living room and everything else was 2 floors up in the disaster I sometimes call my craft room!

All in all, I like the end result.

Thank you for all of your kind comments this week, thank you for taking the time to stop by and don't forget it's not too late to comment for a chance to win a prize from Unity! I will be announcing the winner tomorrow sometime!

Your next stop on the hop today is Lynn at the All Things Unity blog.

Have a great weekend!

Make sure to leave a comment again today for your chance to win a prize from Unity at the end of the week! In addition to being the Growing In Unity gal this week, I am also the Unity Addict Challenge Guest, and I am challenging you to make a card using the "fussy cutting" technique. This originated as a quilting term, but is now also popular in papercrafting and basically means to cut out a design from paper to add dimension. So stop by the Unity Challenge forum on Splitcoast Stampers for another way to win a prize from Unity!

Gobble Gobble

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! Ours was great and I even got some great Black Friday deals too! The card I'm sharing today was made with a stamp from my Unity KOM and Sizzix/Basic Grey embossing folder. I distressed the cardstock with Ranger Distress Ink a bit after embossing. The image was stamped with a blue chalk ink and I also used the same ink to change the color of the ribbon (it was originally yellow).

Luke and I made these turkeys for his pre-school class, so I thought I would share these as well!

Thanks for stopping by today, I'm going to keep it brief. It's 1:30 am and I just got back from my midnight shopping spree. Tired and stuffed from all the Thanksgiving goodies!

How YOU Doin?

I cut this cute window frame card out on my cricut, then stamped the overlying frame with Gurnsey Gingham using Ranger Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. The cute sheer ruffly ribbon is actually from a jewelry making kit that I got on clearance at Michaels', so it's supposed to be part of a necklace. I covered that with a row of Amuse twinkles in green. The sentiment panel was cut from a Nestabilities label die and then stamped with the word "enjoy" from the new release set "How YOU Doin" *hence my title*.
Have a Happy Monday!

Snowman Thinking of You

I picked up this cute Great Impressions snowman stamp last week while visiting Pat and Lee at One Little Spark. I thought he was just so adorable and couldn't wait to get him inky.
I paper pieced his hat with one of the patterns from my Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 6x6 mini deck and colored the pine on his twigs with a green Copic marker (also from One Little Spark). I added some silver Martha Stewart glitter, I liked the look of silver with this card rather than a clear or white glitter for some reason.
I cut him out with an oval nestability and then a scalloped oval in black bazzill to frame him. The cute black scalloped border is from My Favorite Things, I am really loving their Die-namics, have a long wishlist there-haha! The scrappy wishlist never has an end, does it?!
For my triple loop bow, I followed THIS tutorial that I stumbled upon on SCS and finished it off with some punched snowflakes and a pretty pearl brad by Recollections.

This is one of my favorite cards in a long time, this Cosmo paper is going to get A LOT of use from me, just LOVE it!

Oh, and how can I forget, the "thinking of you" sentiment is from the new Ippity release set "How YOU Doin". Click HERE if you'd like to check it out along with all the other adorable new releases!

Happy Sunday! xx, nora anne

Sugar Hangover

Have YOU ever had a sugar hangover?! November 1st and I find myself up at 4:30 in the morning making my card for the hop. The time got away from me this weekend, I guess I was too busy eating candy bars and trick or treating!
I guess insomnia is not a bad thing when you have some cardmaking to do!
I felt I needed a little something extra when I finished my card, so I decided to add the white dots at the end~bad idea! I couldn't find my white pen, so decided to try the new Inkssentials Enamel Accents. Added a little something to my "blah" card. But as I got up to grab my camera, I sent a gust of air towards my propped up card and it fell over smearing my dots. I did the best I could to fix it, but at this time of the morning I was not about to re-do it, so here you have it, my completed card~smeared dots and all!
Enjoy the H{ippity} Hop this morning. Here's a full list of participants!

My First Waltzingmouse Card

As soon as I discovered the Waltzingmouse site, I fell in love with so many of Claire's stamps! Coming from an Irish family with many relatives still in Ireland, the Irish Blessings set appealed to me immediately. I ordered them along with a few other sets and I finally got around to inking them up this past weekend.
I used Basic Grey Origins and my Nestabilities Labels 10 to create this card.

Warmest Ippity Wishes and a Challenge

I have a holiday card to share with you today using stamps from {ippity}'s Season of Joy set and Music of My Heart. This card is also being shared for Kelly's challenge ( HYCCT04) on SCS as part of the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges going on all month. Her challenge is Four by Four, use four layers of paper and four embellishments/additions to your card. I used ribbon, button, twine and stickles.

For some great deals on {ippity} past releases click HERE!
I'm keeping it short and sweet today, it was a long and exhausting weekend and I'm going to snuggle with Luke now before he goes to bed and get ready to start the week.
Happy Monday!

Friday, October 22, 2010

Today I have a mini book to share that still needs a few finishing touches and photos, of course!

The base of the mini book is a Sizzix die and the holly is die cut from Tim Holtz grungeboard paper, then sprayed with Smooch Spritz and stickled a bit with copper Stickles. I used Fancy Pants Tradition throughout my project, love this line!
Do you recognize this Christmas tree?! This is one of Unity's new Itty Bitty's, if you haven't checked these out yet, they are so cool! Great size stamp for a great price!

Another Unity stamp from one of my Kits of the Month (hmmm, can't remember which month it is!)
I made the flower from crepe paper and a Martha Stewart button punch, and finished off with some stickles and twine.

Some more crepe paper and Martha Stewart glitter, with a few Martha Stewart snowflakes punched and layered.

Fabric tape from Love My Tapes!

Another CUTE Itty Bitty by Unity! Gotta check em out at the new Unity website HERE! And if you didn't start out at the Unity blog, go -------->>> HERE to see a full list of Friends With Flair!
Happy Weekend!
