Well, here I finally am with my flower tutorial, and I'll have to apologize! My tripod is on it's last leg (no pun intended!!!) so I couldn't actually take photos to demonstrate me actually DOING the flower, but I think you'll get the idea!
Supplies needed: Sparkle Mod Podge, scalloped circle punches (any size) but I used 3" and 2". A foam brush, a brad and a piercer or hole puncher of some sort.
And don't forget about your vintage sheet music! I found a whole box of these bad boys at an Antique Consignment shop on my lunch break one day.
Punch your scalloped circles out, I used four 3" circles and three 2" circles, I like my flower to be nice and full.
Crinkle them up in a ball and then un-crinkle them :) This will give them some texture and also help to prevent them from sticking to your drying surface.
Apply a pretty generous coat of sparkle Mod Podge to both sides of each piece. I used a paper plate to work on and then put them on tin foil to dry (they didn't stick to the tin foil much).
Let them dry for about 15-20 minutes, they should still be tacky. Stack them all on top of each other as pictured (in the picture they do not have mod podge on them, but you get the idea, right?!)
Use your paper piercer or hole punch to make a hole through the center and insert your brad. Now you can crinkle it up some more and shape it to how you like it. Set it aside to dry all the way. It will dry very stiff and crunchy, and sparkly beautiful!!
The winner will be announced on Tuesday! Have a great weekend!
