Birthdays Are The Best!

That's what I am trying to make myself believe as I quickly approach the big 4-0!!!  My husband surprised me the other day by telling me to pack my bag for this coming weekend! Him and I are going to New York City overnight to celebrate my big day and I could not be more excited or surprised! I am going to miss Luke, but it's only one night, he will survive (better than I will without him! LOL)
I have to admit, one of the first things I did was log on to my computer and map quest to see how far the hotel is from The Ink Pad! I know, a little obsessed, a little pathetic! LOL! But, the good news is, we are only 1.7 miles from the only stamping store in NYC! YAY! I've already mentioned to Neil that I want to pop in there! We'll see!
So, HERE'S where we are staying, it looks so sophisticated and posh, I guess I better shop for a new outfit this week!  Can't seem to find anything in my wardrobe that would blend in this scene!
Wish me luck finding something to wear! My almost 40-year old body isn't what it used to be and makes shopping depressing and difficult at times! Which reminds me of my never-ending resolution to lose weight-ugh! Okay, I am going to look on the bright side and think "sophisticated"! Maybe the right outfit will appear if I stay postitve~hey, a girl can dream, can't she?!?!

Only 1 day in NY will be difficult if you go to the Ink Pad! My sister lives near by and I usually "get lost" for a long time when I go there. Have fun in NY no matter where you go.

Oooh, Nora Anne! A trip to THE city. I'm sure it's gonna be wonderful (but you do have to see the Ink Pad---little place chock full of goodies). Enjoy!
(And thanks for dropping by my blog!)

Ok, I am so jealous of you right now! That hotel looks amazing!! I would spend my time next to that beautiful fish tank in the lobby. I hope you have a very Happy Birthday and enjoy NYC! By the way, The Ink Pad looks like a place I could spend a week!

Oh, your card is awesome, by the way!
