Sexy Nurse

My sister's Father-In-Law is back in the hospital and today is his birthday. He's my buddy and I always joke with him and call him a "Dirty Old Man". He is from Italy and he always replies in his best broken English "I'm no dirty, I take shower today"! It's been a running joke for years, so this Sexy Nurse image from Victoria Case was perfect for his birthday card.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY Vinnie!!! Get Well Soon!

Victoria Case Beefcake & Some Modern Sugar Blvd.

A few more cards to share.....
I made these for co-workers prior to leaving my job last month. This first card uses Victoria Case's "Beefcake" digital image. When I saw this I knew I had to make a card for a guy I worked with because the image reminded me so much of him (yes I was lucky enough to work with someone that looked like this and was SUPER nice at the same time, which made him even more attractive!) Okay so he didn't look exactly like this, but close enough, maybe better!

The background image on this one is from Charmed Cards & Crafts and of course the "Beefcake" digi image is from the talented Victoria Case! I had so much fun making this card! The sentiment and name of the bar are kind of a joke that we had with this young cutie we worked with!

For the next two I used the Belly Mama digi stamp from Modern Sugar Blvd. This has to be one of my FAVORITES!!! I just love it :) and all of the men in my office had a crush on her when they saw these cards, too funny! They thought she was very sexy! For both cards I used paper from "Just Chillin" a Making Memories 8 x 8 paper pad that I got at Michael's. I made the brunette card first, then I RUSHED a few days later to do the blonde. I did a much better job coloring the brunette, I think. I still have a lot to learn with Copics!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far!
Hugs! Nora Anne

Inky Impressions 1st DT Call

By the time I saw the post for the DT call at Inky Impressions, it was already past the deadline. But today I saw that it was extended so I am going to give it a whirl :)
Here are my two cards for the call. The first one is a Penny Black wood mounted stamp and the second is a Victoria Case Art Designs Rubber Stamp. For some reason, I picked two elephant images, not sure why! I just like these 2 cards I guess, anyway...wish me luck! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Home from the Copics Class!

I just got home a little while ago and I can't wait to start coloring with my new Copics :) I only have a few so my options will be limited for now until I can add to my collection! The class was really good, it was taught by Heather, Certified Copics Instructor at One Little Spark, a SUPER CUTE stamp shop that I am so lucky to have less than a mile from my home! It was a "basics" class which was perfect for me since Copics are new to me. I can definitely see a new addiction forming though :)
So, here is a card I made for my Etsy shop using another one of Victoria Case's digital stamps. I colored the image with my Bic Markits. I have a lot of practicing to do with my Copics and I will post some cards that I make with them in the coming days :)
Thanks to everyone who left sweet comments on my last post...I am feeling a little better :)

My New Favorite Supply!!!

DIGITAL STAMPS! How cool is that? Definitely saves a lot of space when it comes to storing! I have recently raved about this artist, but I have to say it again...her illustrations are just adorable and I am loving that she offers digital stamps AS WELL AS rubber stamps! And she has new designs coming out regularly!

And if you are in the mood for some CANDY, stop by her BLOG for an awesome giveaway!

This is a card I made using one of the digital stamps that I recently purchased from her!

Some Recent Additions.....

to My Etsy Shop!

Just thought I'd share some new things I listed recently. I have so many ideas floating around in my head, but I just don't have time to work on them all! I guess if I stayed out of message boards and forums and off of blogs and twitter, I might actually get some stuff done!

Monster Hugs

I just finished making this card with my new stamp from Victoria Case. I am very into monsters, dinosaurs and robots lately. I guess it has something to do with the 2 1/2 year old that I live with!!! My son talks about monsters all day long. As a matter of fact, since he always gives us a hard time brushing his teeth, my husband started telling him that he has little monsters in his mouth and that is how we get him do do a good job brushing! Maybe not the best parenting tactic, but hey, it works! I guess it's not really a fib if you consider "the cavity creeps"....they are monsters, aren't they?!

Anyway, here is my card, I hope you like it!

Monster Love

I came across a GREAT artist by the name of Victoria Case on Etsy and had to have this cute monster stamp made by her!!! Her illustrations are awesome and I especially love her monster stuff! Check out her website here and her Etsy shop here.
This is a card I made with the first stamp I purchased and I am waiting for a couple more to ship, I can't wait!

The stamp is a cling cushion rubber stamp and the quality is very impressive! Not to mention, Victoria herself is extremely nice to work with. I am looking forward to a few new releases on her stamps in January, I already put one on pre-order :) CHECK HER OUT!
