Welcome Little One

We went down to West Virginia this weekend to meet my brand new baby niece, Bridget Colleen, a nice Irish name! She is my older sister's third child and was a bit of a surprise! I am so thrilled to have her join our family and had such a nice time visiting with them. As usual the visit was too short, I wish I could stay for a month and help my sister. Her and her husband will have their hands full now with three kids, two in diapers, and they are so far away from family. Luke was very cute with her, he was so excited to meet his new cousin!

Of course, I couldn't go on a road trip without my craft bag, so I made this card for baby Bridget on Sunday night after everyone went to sleep. I used some paper from a K&Co paper pad and Moonbeams and Heartstrings from the {ippity} Winter Release. This was my first time inking this set up, but I can see myself using it a lot!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I will leave you with one of my favorite Irish quotes!

Happy H{ippity} Hop!

I am just loving all of the fun images that the {ippity} designers have come up with! Here are two cards I made using two of the new Winter release sets.
The first card used Webster's Pages 6 x 6 pad and my favorite sentiment stamp from Where You Should Be.

This next card is made with Basic Grey Nook & Pantry along with Sweet Thoughts of Spring, another of the new Winter release sets.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to visit the {ippity} blog to check out the rest of the hop participants!!!

Happy Monday!

Rainy Friday, A New Baby and A Layout to Share!

TGIF! It's raining here at the shore in New Jersey and we are in for a full weekend of it. Kind of a bummer since we are heading down to West Virginia tomorrow night to meet my new niece! I am so excited to have another little baby to love! Although it would be nice to have some nice weather for the ride and to be able to let the boys run outside and play once we get there. Oh well, can't change Mother Nature's mind I suppose!

I made this layout for this past Sunday's Layout of the Month at Paper Wing's. I had so much fun making the flowers! The small one is made with newspaper and decoupage and the bigger one is made with sparkle decoupage and some Vintage Sheet Music that I scored at a local antique store. What a great find!
Don't you just love this new Estate Sale line from Bella Blvd?! It's one of my recent favorites!

Thanks for looking. Hope it's sunny in your neck of the woods!
Have a great weekend!

Belated Valentine Goodies!

I'm a little past due here, but I wanted to share Luke's first Valentine's treats for his class at daycare. He loved making these with me and he was so excited to bring them in on Friday!

I love my new silly ring from Pier One!

Happy Wednesday :)

A Valentine and A Thank You

We had an all day crop at the store on Saturday. I didn't get any scrapbooking done, but I did make a Valentine for my husband and a few thank you cards my sister asked me to make for her. For the Valentine I used my Unity December Store Kit, some Bazzill Swiss Dots and Making Memories ribbon, along with Prima flowers. Althought the color in my photo is very off, the red looks pretty orange here! Still haven't read the manual for my new camera!

Here is one of the three Thank You cards I made for my sister. This one is using Unity stamps again (I just LOVE them!) and some Basic Grey Indian Summer and Bazzill CS.

I also took this super cute class at One Little Spark on Friday night. It turned out adorable and can't wait to use it on a layout!

On another note, I got my new {ippity} Winter Release in the mail yesterday so I am hoping I will have some time to ink them up this week. I would really love to do a few layouts and incorporate some stamping into them, something I don't often do but always think I should!

Happy Tuesday :) Hope you all had a sweet Valentine's Day!

Unity Stamp Co. Friends with Flair Hop & a Holiday

Some of you know I started a new job a the beginning of January. I am working for a municipality so this is a local government job. This means I get A LOT of holidays off, NO I am not complaining. I am off today for Lincoln's birthday. This works out just fine for me since it is also my mom's birthday. She would have been 70 today and I can't believe it. She passed away at 67 and it's strange to imagine her at 70. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY, I miss you!" Her younger sister joined her in heaven on this day last year so it is a sad day for our family for a number of reasons. With that said, I am glad to be off from work at my "real job" and I will head over to the Scrapbook Cafe, my "fun job" and prepare for our all day crop tomorrow.
But before I do that, I want to share with you two cards I made using one of Unity's new Donna Downey sets, the Artist In You. I just LOVE this set, it can be used for any occasion, with or without the sentiments. The sentiment on the first card is from Unity's Hodge Podge of Happiness set, the second card uses a sentiment from the Artist in You.
Thanks for stopping by and joining me for my first Friends With Flair hop! Go back to the Unity blog to see who else is participating today!

And don't forget to check out the {ippity} blog for sneak peeks of the new Winter Release!!!!
Have a great weekend.
